UHERO's Economic Information Service is a community-sponsored research program of the University of Hawaii at Manoa. The EIS provides the Hawaii community with information on economic, demographic, and business trends in the State and the Asia-Pacific region. The primary activity of the EIS is the collection, interpretation, and projection of statistical and other data on the changing economic and business environment in the State, its four counties, and principal external economies. Summaries and analyses are disseminated through forecast reports, public fora, and regular forecast updates. UHERO develops and maintains high-frequency industry level statistical models of Hawaii, its four counties and key external economies to support rigorous forecasting exercises. The quality of the EIS work is enhanced by academic peer review and publication. Schedule of EIS Reports:EIS forecast reports are available to subscribers as a package or individually for as little as $120/year. For pricing information, download the EIS Subscription Form.
The EIS Online Database:This unique database houses up-to-date statistics on the State, county, and key external economies. The site provides an easy-to-use graphical interface, data display in monthly, quarterly, and annual formats (as applicable), and data download in the industry-standard .CSV file format for immediate loading in Microsoft Excel© or other graphing and reporting software. The system, which is continually expanding, currently houses historical data on more than 1,400 economic indicators.
