UHERO Internship Program
UHERO interns have the exciting opportunity to work with a team of UHERO faculty and fellows on a wide variety of research projects important to Hawaii’s economy. Ongoing research foci include economic forecasting, environmental and energy policy, sustainability, education, and labor market outcomes. Successful interns will earns 3 credits in Econ 390.

Minimum qualifications include:
- Major or minor in Economics or Business
- Minimum 3.5 GPA in major or minor course
- 1 year commitment — approximately 10 hours/week
- Superior analytical and mathematical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
